4. Using QBrew

4.1 Basic Recipe Details

Enter in the basic recipe details in the top section of the program window. There are fields for the title of the recipe, the name of the brewer, beer style, batch size and whether or not the recipe is mashed.

4.2 Recipe Ingredients

Recipe ingredients are added using the bottom section of the program window. There are tabs for grains and other fermentables, hops and miscellaneous ingredients. Below the ingredient list there are fields to enter in the details of the ingredient. To the right of this are three push buttons.

The blue "plus" button adds a new ingredient to the list. The green "check" button changes a selected ingredient in the list. And the red "X" button removes an ingredient from the list.

4.3 Recipe Characteristics

The middle section of the program window details your recipe's characteristics. Information included here are the recommended gravity, bitterness and color for the selected beer style, as well as the calculated gravity, bitterness, color and alcoholic content for your recipe.
